King Kong is the design partnership between Italian designers Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini, active as a duo for Alessi between 1985 and 1989. In this brief but highly influential period, they created some of Alessi’s most recognisable and characterful objects, defined by soft forms, humour, and a strong emotional connection to everyday life. Their designs introduced a new, playful language to Italian homewares, where function and storytelling coexist. This collection focuses on King Kong’s historic collaboration with Alessi, celebrating their iconic contributions to late-1980s design and their lasting influence on contemporary, people-centred product design.
